Steve Isles Steve Isles, a classically trained pianist and violinist, writes, arranges, orchestrates and produces music for film, TV and performing artists. He played for several years in various bands playing different styles of music from jazz to rock which has made him extremely versatile and able to write distinctive music for any genre: from action to comedy, thrillers to romance. He's equally at home writing for orchestra or creating studio based scores, and he has a great sense of drama and ability to write to picture. Steve has just finished scoring Guy Ritchie’s Rock’N’Rolla (starring Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton and Tom Wilkinson) for Warner Brothers due out for release in 2008. He has also recently composed for several award-winning productions including Sundance, ‘Grand Jury Prize Nominee’ and winner of ‘Best Documentary’ at the British Independent Film Awards, Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten directed by Julien Temple; along with a short film called The Stronger starring Claire Higgins (The Golden Compass) which was an adaptation of the Auguste Strindberg play, which won ‘Best Short Film’ at Raindance 2007 and was nominated for a BAFTA and the Cutting Edge C4 documentary The Dangerous School For Boys which won a Royal Television Society Award for ‘Best Documentary’.
