Following a few mad years feeding German construction workers in Sumatra, Libya and Nigeria Nicola returned to the UK 1991 and, for six months, was instrumental in helping John Bird and Gordon Roddick launch the Big Issue from a tiny basement office on Richmond Green.

She started her career in the music industry as a band manager in 1992 and fell into music supervision when she offered to help a friend out with his first feature film, a London set gangster film Hard Men. After the none too surprising baptism of fire she went on to supervise Guy Richie's Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels (starring Vinny Jones, Nick Moran, Jason Fleming), 20th Century Fox’s Best Laid Plans (starring Reese Witherspoon), The Great Goose Caper (starring Chevy Chase, Joan Plowright), Gerrard Verhage’s De Dominee, Shadows In The Sun (starring Harvey Keitel, Joshua Jackson) and many, many more!

Television credits include Sony Columbia Tristar’s The Bold & The Beautiful and The Young & The Restless, Channel 4’s Jazz Heroes, Boys & Girls, a documentary on the 70s glam rock band The Sweet, and a documentary profile on Norman Wisdom.

Advertising credits include Audi, Air Wick, Lynx, Eletrolux, Goodyear, Rover Cars, Toyota, Lycos, Iceland, Halifax IF, TG Waterhouse, Coca Cola Light, TV Times, Honda Accord ‘Cog’, Honda Civic and Nescafe.

In 2004 Nicola joined Brass Hat Films to head the music department, She was instrumental in setting up the development and acquisitions department. Working with all major literary and talent agencies ensuring the company had access, and the opportunity to acquire, commercially viable projects. Nicola worked on Premonition, starring Sandra Bullock, Death Sentence starring Kevin Bacon, Krabat starring Daniel Brühl and The Persuaders currently in pre-production. Nicola also edited the quarterly Brass Hat magazine ‘Investors Cut’, updating investors on film slates and festival news.

Nicola left Brass Hat Films in 2007 and has since been helping producers seek distribution and funding for independent films. She has also been writing and has a number of projects in development.
