Amanda Street
Born in London, Amanda Street grew up with both parents in the
music industry. Her father a musician and recording artist in the 1960's
with Emile
Ford & The Checkmates and her mother the President of fan clubs
for Jimi Hendrix, The Animals, Dave Clark Five
and The Osmonds! Her background is a varied
one but she's always gravitated back to music.
Amanda studied graphic design at Ravensbourne College of Design &
Communications and then went on to do an honours degree at Middlesex University
where she specialised in Photography.
During this time she received the Thames Television
Photography Award, The Hunters Armley Print Award and her
photography and art direction contributed to winning the Champagne
Mumm Admirals Cup Award.
On leaving Middlesex, Amanda joined 4D Films, a production company specialising
in music videos and commercials.During this period she worked on 15 music
videos, 2 'rockumentaries!' and a fewcommercials.Artists included: Blur,
Take That, Glenn Frey, Iron Maiden, Eric Clapton, Lulu & Bobby Womack
and Frank Zappa. While working at 4D, she experimented
with Super 8mm and 16mm film and shot and edited a few short films. Her
award-winning short Oliver Reed was recently included
in Twenty Twenty's documentary The Real Oliver Reed
for Channel 4.
After two years with 4D, Amanda joined MTV Europe and worked in Studio
Management rostering crews for their live show MostWanted, the studios and transmission suites.
A
year on, she was hired to do the stills photography on Anand Tucker's
Saint-Ex (starring Miranda
Richardson and Bruno Ganz) for BBC Films / Majestic Films.
On completion of Saint-Ex, Amanda joined Channel 4 Television / FilmFour
Ltd where she worked for 7 years. During this time she worked within documentaries
with producers and production managers on strands: Secret
Lives, Cutting Edge, Encounters, Undercover Britain, Short Stories, To
The Ends Of The Earth and all
documentary series.
After 2 years she moved over to FilmFour International to the position
of Film Sales Executive where she was involved in the sales and marketing
of feature films at all the major film festivals & markets. Films included: Danny Boyle's Trainspotting,

Jonathan Glazer's Sexy Beast,

Amanda then went on to work as a Music Consultant in the Film & Television
sector. Some of the films and programmes she has beeninvolved with include:
Mike Barker’s To Kill A King,
Jane Campion’s In The Cut
and Porchlight’s animation series Tutenstein.
Some of her key film and television clients included Pathé Pictures
and Endemol Entertainment.
In 2003, she set up DNA Music Ltd and apart from her Composer Agent role
has completed the score music supervision on Michael Winterbottom’s The Killer Inside Me (starring Casey Affleck, Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson) for Revolution Films, Jackboots On Whitehall (Ewan McGregor, Rosamund Pike, Timothy Spall, Richard E Grant, Tom Wilkinson, Alan Cumming) for E-Motion and Anand Tucker's Red
Riding 1983 (starring David Morrissey and
Sean Bean), And When Did You Last See Your Father?
(starring Colin Firth and Jim Broadbent) for Number 9 Films / FilmFour
(Sony Picture Classics / Disney), Shopgirl
(starring Steve Martin and Claire Danes) for Hyde Park
