James Hyman knows more about music than me, alright!...
– Quentin Tarantino (Director)

James Hyman

When Quentin Tarantino categorically states, "James Hyman knows more about music (in film) than me" it's clear that you're in safe hands and dealing with one of the most professional music supervisors working in the Film / TV industry today

James' extensive knowledge is vast. His expertise in researching tracks and handling clearances, in addition to his strong ties with all the major and independent record labels, publishers, artists and management, inevitably makes him the first port of call for many film directors, producers, advertising agencies and TV Networks.

James' background embodies a 1st class BA honours degree in Film & Media from London's Guildhall University, 12 years as Senior Director/Producer/Programmer for MTV Europe, mainly documenting the emerging club culture from 1988 - 2000, a DJ/presenter on Xfm radio and producer of 'pop-culture' programmes for the BBC, Channel 4, Five, MTV and Sci-Fi Channel.

In addition to being a voice-over artist (McDonalds, Hit40UK, BT, Playstation), James has produced/directed/edited numerous pop videos for Prince, Moby, Michael Jackson, Fatboy Slim & Snow Patrol.

More recently James produced a documentary for BBC Radio 2's "Song Stories" series about Paul Anka & his classic song 'My Way' which was presented by Michael Buble and featured interviews with Paul Anka, David Bowie and Donald Trump.
