Early 2009 feature films include Kick Ass; another collaboration with Matthew Vaughn, starring Nicolas Cage and Ninja Assassin directed by James McTeigue for Joel Silver at Warner Bros starring Naomie Harris, Sung Kang, Rick Yune and Rain and Julian Fellowes From Time To Time starring Carice Van Houten, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall and Pauline Collins for Fragile Films / Lionhead Productions.

His credits include scoring Jean-Marc Vallée's The Young Victoria (starring Emily Blunt, Jim Broadbent, Paul Bettany, Rupert Friend and Miranda Richardson), Nick Moran’s Telstar starring Kevin Spacey and Paramount Pictures Stardust, Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman's fantasy adventure, whose cast includes Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfieffer, Claire Danes, Sir Ian McKellan, Peter O’Toole, Rupert Everett and Ricky Gervais! He also worked with Take That on the end title song "Rule The World" specifically written for the movie.

Ilan EshkeriIlan’s relationship with Vaughn began with the box office hit Layer Cake starring Daniel Craig for which he was later nominated in the category of “Discovery Of The Year” at the World Soundtrack Awards..

Ilan also scored the movie Hannibal Rising, based on the novel by Hannibal’s creator Thomas Harris. Peter Webber (Girl With The Pearl Earring) directed and the film stars Gaspard Ulliel as the young ‘Hannibal Lecter’ and Gong Li as ‘Lady Murasaki’, produced by Dino De Laurentiis for The Weinstein Company.

Ilan EshkeriOther movie credits include Straightheads directed by Dan Reed and starring Gillian Anderson and The Virgin Territory directed by David Leland, starring Hayden Christensen, Mischa Barton and Tim Roth and Strength & Honour starring Michael Madsen and Richard Chamberlain.

Ilan began his career in 1997 and has worked on many features including The Count Of Monte Cristo, Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down, Reign Of Fire, Wallace & Gromit and arranging music for Michael Kamen on Kevin Costner’s Open Range.

Working with Kamen, led to Ilan’s first major compositional role in completing Michael’s posthumous score for the animated adventure Back To Gaya (aka Boo, Zino & The Snurks). With a team of Michael's colleagues and friends, Ilan used existing themes and composed original music to create a detailed symphonic score true to Kamen's style.

Ilan EshkeriIlan has also worked with various prestigious songwriters. Most recently he’s been working with the legendary Annie Lennox for two months, on her live and exclusive concert at the Mermaid Theatre, London (25 August 2007) for BBC Radio 2, arranging some of Annie’s classic songs including Sweet Dreams and Walking On Broken Glass for 50 piece orchestra and band. He wrote string arrangements for Badly Drawn Boy’s songs in Something’s Gotta Give and has programmed and arranged strings on David Gilmour’s hit solo album On An Island.

Ilan is based at North Pole studios in London where he works with Grammy Award winning Producer Steve McLaughlin. Steve has produced, recorded and mixed the scores for over 90 major feature films including the Die Hard series, the Lethal Weapon series and the Academy Award nominated scores for Interview With A Vampire and Michael Collins. Steve was also the architect and producer of Badly Drawn Boy’s highly regarded score for Chris and
Paul Weitz ’s About A Boy.

For over 15 years, Steve was the producer of the respected film composer Michael Kamen. Steve produced Kamen’s score for Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves and the soundtrack album went on to sell over 3.5 million copies. Notable films Steve has mixed include Michael Mann’s Heat, Don Juan De Marco, Batman Forever, Brad Bird’s The Iron Giant (Winner of an Annie award for Best Music) and X-Men. Steve won a Grammy in 1996 for his work on Tom Petty’s Wildflowers album. He produced the hit single It’s Probably Me for Sting. Steve has two Golden Reel awards for Best Mixer and four further Golden Reel nominations.
